As you can guess by the name, this is the lighter version of Michelin's Pro 2 Race. It lacks the puncture resistance of that tyre, and while it won't pop at any provocation it still falls into the category of slightly fragile - like the Conti GP Supersonic and Vredestein Fortezza Superlite.
The pay-off is superior rolling performance. It's faster than most tyres except the Supersonic, which had almost identical results. The carcass is 127tpi, like the Hutchinson, but it's more flexible and supple. Michelin's puff refers to it being 'at the head of the peloton'. In fact, you'd be better off with the tougher Pro 2 Race on your road bike and putting this on your time trial machine. In that respect, it's a shame there isn't a 20mm version too.
