Our review
A speedy, comfy and grippier-than-it-looks tyre

We tested the 2.2in TNT (Tube/No Tube) versions of these tough but fast rolling tyres. They also come in 2in and 29er versions, as well as full tubeless or 'High Performance' lighter weight options.

You can choose to run them with a puncture sealant like Geax Pit-Stop on tubeless (or DIY tubeless) rims or with an inner tube on normal rims. We put a pair on the new Reynolds >carbon rimmed Topo wheels and used them with Stan's No Tubes sealant and rim strips. At 705g, they're a bit lighter than the tubeless version but about 100g heavier than the High Performance version. >The closely spaced, small knob tread pattern rolls fast but the angled paddle centre tread grips well on climbs. You can choose between more speed or more traction depending on which way round you fit a pair of TNT'S but they're grippy either way round unless you encounter sticky mud, when the close knobs block easily. Cornering is predictable, with a gradual drift rather than a sudden give as you bank over.
