Expensive but fast and durable skinny racer that'll work all year round

The bigger Bulldog tyres (2.1 or 2.5in) are great in dry, dusty conditions but lousy in the wet, unlike these skinnier 1.85in versions. The difference is you get less carcass between each knob so there's more to dig out traction with, and the super narrow width digs deep.

It's not as tenacious in greasy or offcamber cornering as a winter specialist but it clears easily, rolls well and accelerates fast in the dry. Versatility is good - you could race on this all year without suffering much speed loss.

The Tubeless system adds thorn and pinch resistance at lower pressures (don't go mad or you'll dent the rim) but it's not that light (despite the name) or cheap.
