Grippy, usefully light all-mountain tyre

As a brand Intense tyres occupy the same top level of the performance hierarchy as Intense bikes, and these useful chunky all-rounders are no exception to the rule.

The CC is a one-size, folding bead-only deal, but that's fine because it's a relatively fast rolling tyre that still retains the rock-shrugging, drop-cushioning bonuses we look for in bigger cross-country tyres. The medium-compound rubber isn't quite as sticky as some when leaned hard over on rocks, but big, well supported blocks keep it stable and predictable.

It digs better straight-line traction out of loose and wet conditions than most tyres too, without being sketchy, sluggish or wearing out in weeks when summer comes around. The folding bead also helps keep the weight well within agile, ride all day limits, making the CC a great choice for longer travel XC/allmountain bikes where bursting tyres are often an Achilles heel. It's well priced too.
