Our review
Slippery but cheap, cheerful and chunky cut hardcore tyres

The Kinetics have been around for years but are still a solid, surefooted hardcore option at a pocket money price.

Options such as Stick-E and DTC dual compound versions might have moved onto more recently moulded designs, but the grip of the rectangular blocked front and rear specific tread is still pretty good.

The Kinetics dig traction out of soft or loose stuff well in winter and are stable in summer. They aren’t extra tough but shrug off sharp edges and pinch flats better than most Kenda tyres.

Unsurprisingly, they aren’t the most light and lively tyres, and you need to be wary of wet rocks and roots, but if you want a tough, long-lasting set of tyres to abuse, they’re cracking value.
