Fast, tough and decent cornering dry tyre but beware of wet or front-end use

The Short Tracker makes a great high-speed, hardcore cross-country/freeride/ jump tyre for really dry days. The thick, puncture-resistant carcass makes it slightly heavy, but there's practically no tread and the harder centre compound keeps it fast. Occasional very low, hook-ended paddle bars give fairly stable braking/driving grip but you'll still need to juggle brake and pedal pressure. Chunky softer compound side knobs give decent loose and loamy grip if you >can get them leaned over fast enough to catch the edges.

This tyre is seriously sketchy in the wet - particularly on the front - but it clears fast, so grip isn't gone long.
