Kenda Small Block Eight 2.35 review

The myriad of tiny square blocks on this Kenda creates a smooth and rapid-rolling contact surface. It's not a beast in weight terms either.

Swift, surefooted rock/hardpack tyre but a mess in sticky conditions

The myriad of tiny square blocks on this Kenda creates a smooth and rapid-rolling contact surface. It's not a beast in weight terms either.

>The multiple contact point, hard-centre, soft-shoulder DTC compound works really well in loose, sandy conditions, cat litter grit or hardcore surfaces of man-made trails. The multiple knobs make effective pinch/ point flat armour for really rocky trails, too. The rounded profile and wrap-over tread means it turns in smoothly and consistently, with a controllable slide at the far end of traction. Unfortunately, it clogs immediately at the merest hint of dampness or stickiness and then you can kiss any grip goodbye. There are loads of sizing options though.
