The LUST (lightweight ultimate sidewall technology) version of Maxxis's popular High Roller tyre has a tubeless-ready casing and comes in at just 680g for our favoured 2.1in width.
The 120tpi (threads per inch) casing is still durable, so can be run at lower pressures for grip, yet is supple enough and features low-profile ramped centre knobs to roll quickly. The well supported shoulder rail tenaciously holds on to terra firma with true predictability.
Even with the fairly hard 62a durometer rubber, grip is exceptional, although the ramped leading-edge centre knobs lose a bit of drive traction in claggy mud.
