The Ignitor comes up well in most of the things we look for in a tyre: how it clears/clogs, traction under acceleration and braking, cornering, casing, compound and how predictable it is.
This tyre will fare best in dry conditions, but dealt amazingly well with the horrendous conditions around Bath during the winter. The ride is very predictable, which is one of the best things you can ask for in a tyre, and copes well with most conditions.
This model is the 2.35-inch wide version in the fast rolling 70a rubber compound, with the LUST lightweight tubeless casing. It weighs in at 785g.
The tread is made up of pentagonal knobs, which vary in size to offer great grip in most conditions, and clears well. The only time it suffers is traction on wet grass and thick clay. The shoulders are typically Maxxis – they’re sturdy and offer a predictable ride but still have enough bite to dig in.
