Our review
Like Sylvester Stallone in Cliffhanger, they’re burly, hang on well, but are heavy

This light black UST tyre shares the same tread as Michelin’s old Comp 24 downhill tyre, so it means business.

The grey top layer is soft and tacky, and is supported by the harder black compound underneath. The tread pattern and profile hooks up whether braking, climbing or getting your knee down in turns.

The super-tough casing fights off pinch punctures and allows low pressures, but the soft top surface can cut easily on sharp rocks. It’s a heavy tyre at 1,090g.
