Our review
Great all-round winter and mud-plugging tyre

The Dirty Dan is probably the best kept secret that Schwalbe have in their tyre armoury. The well spaced block treads, each topped with twin siping channels, have a slightly rumblesome feel on faster surfaces but without feeling too draggy.

They have enough angle and edge to cut through the mire to find you forward drive. The compound Schwalbe use, in conjunction with the surefooted nature on wet rock and roots, means the Dirty Dan is a great choice for mixed condition winter rides where you’re likely to face a variety of terrain and surface challenges. We’d like a tubeless-ready version.
