Apart from giving a dry weather turn of speed as a rear tyre (we still want proper shoulders up front), we also like running semi slick tyres like the Vulpine in the wet for a bit of drifting tail-out action.
It actually hooks up much better than you'd expect, with little tread to clog up it’s always showing rubber. You'll have to work the climbs with some body limbo, but to be honest using the Vulpine is a great way to spice up those trails you've ridden a thousand times.
