Reliable option for training and commuting, at a budget price

Onza’s Preda race tyre scored highly for value in our summer tyres test, and the slightly tougher Lavin rates highly for the same reasons.

The stickier than average dual compound tread has wavy shoulder strakes and a hashed arrow centre line pattern, and we had no unexpected slips even on flooded farm roads and greasy urban roundabouts.

Low weight also makes it feel quick even if rolling performance isn’t that rapid. The nylon breaker has proved impressively impenetrable. They feel pretty solid on pock-marked roads or gravel paths, but are still impressive for the money.
