These 32-spoke wheels are the lightest in the range and are described on their website as ‘not a daily driver’.
The hubs are common to the range and use tiny cartridge bearings and a new, stronger cassette body has put to rest the reliability problems that dogged the original design.
These magnesium rims are just 338g each and we are reluctant to recommend them for road racing but there is an acceptable level of strength here for time trialling and closed criterium circuits – only the heavy riders noticed the brakes brushing the rims on steep gradients.
