Our review
Versatile and remarkably light, but potentially weak freehub

These top line Bontrager wheels are full-on freeride/DH rated, but still light enough for all-day use.

The 32mm rim is a stable base for tyres up to 2.5in. The spokes are offset to reduce dish too and despite pounding several sets we've had no sign of wobbling or warping so far.

A lot of the weight saving in these startlingly light wheels is due to ribbed semi-carbon hubs and, apart from occasional bearing tightening, they've run fine. They're convertible from QR to 10 or 12mm through-axle with the right adaptors. 150mm versions are available too.

The only downside was the sudden death of the freehub on one set, but other folks' have been fine.
