Unlike Campagnolo's Scirocco front wheel, the Vento Reaction has a G3 pattern like the rear. As there’s the same number of spokes on each side at the front, it’s a gimmick. With fewer spokes, the design results in longer sections of unsupported rim so we weren’t surprised the front wheel was out of true.
Spot-on spoke tension is important for a wheel like this. Large flange hubs make the wheels laterally stiffer, due to shorter spokes. The spokes are butted, and there’s a plain gauge one included for wheel balancing. At worst, balancing won’t do any harm and at best it might eliminate speed wobble.
