Our review
Super-stiff wheels that have handled plenty of hardcore abuse but are quite heavy and narrow

Cole's Massif Enduro wheelset has certainly lived up to the company’s ‘bomber’ description over the past few months, maintaining near-perfect form on a selection of wheel-warping trails.

The rear wheel comes in a 135mm through-axle format and the front wheel is switchable between 15mm and 20mm axles using Cole’s tool-free EZ-Snap cap adapters. The supplied 15mm adapters weren't compatible with Fox and Magura forks, but a universal adapter is due to be made available that should remedy this.

At 2,170g the Massif Enduros aren't exactly light, but Cole’s Direct Spoke Alignment technology allows for an incredibly rigid build, so they feel sprightlier than the scales suggest. These wheels saw their fair share of square-edged rocks but thankfully the hefty build translated to high strength.

With a cross-country-like 18mm internal width, the skinny rims didn’t offer much support for our 2.35in test rubber when cornering hard. At anything other than 35psi plus, our tyres became unpredictable.
