DT 6.1/340 Freeride review

The 6.1 Freeride rim hasn't been around long, but it's already building a great strength reputation thanks to its 35mm width and deep-section construction.

Rock solid, high quality wheels

The 6.1 Freeride rim hasn't been around long, but it's already building a great strength reputation thanks to its 35mm width and deep-section construction. It's disc specific though and fitting Schrader valves can be a squeeze unless you drill the hole wider.

Our wheels had plain gauge spokes for max strength. The DT 340 hubs are quality all-rounders with a fast-reacting StarDrive freehub clutch (DT's freehub design), quadruple bearings and a 12mm rear axle option. They're super-easy to pull apart by hand and service, too. The overall weight is relatively high, though.
