Our review
Tight, robust and responsive, but the Swiss are having a laugh at this price

The bladed double-butted spokes makes the DT Swiss EX1750 Wheelset relatively lightweight, tight and responsive. However, the already high price has just hiked up another £125, which is shocking considering the cost of the components involved.

DT Swiss Ratchet drive freehubs are among the quickest for instant out-of-corner acceleration and they run for ages with only minimal tool-free servicing. It’s 20mm-only front at the moment though and the RWS rear skewer is tight but fragile.

DT Swiss lend their rims, spokes and hub details to plenty of other wheel manufacturers, but this is their direct deal bid for all-mountain supremacy. The rims are actually just nicely stickered white versions of standard 5.1s but apart from picking up dents quite easily, they’ve stayed round and true.
