Hand-built with tough 6061 heat-treated eyeletted rims, medium flange hubs to achieve shorter spoke length, 32 double butted spokes and alu nipples, these have the narrowest rim section (23.5mm) of all the wheels on test.
This is fine for narrow profile tyres rather than the fat treads many 29er riders prefer but slightly at odds with the fact they’re among the heaviest 29er wheels we’ve tested. Build strength is noticeable in excellent tracking over rough terrain, but rolling weight’s an issue if you ride them back to back with American Classics, at the same price.
