Halo are known for their affordable yet top quality mountain bike wheels and now they're heading into the road market.
These are impressive wheels and worth every penny. Rims are 30mm seamless units with a machined sidewall, locking nipples on stainless spokes (16 front, 24 rear) and Halo's own hubs. These hubs are great, with a six pawl freehub, and fantastic quality bearings that can be replaced should the need arise. The ride is quick, stiff, yet not overly harsh, and the build quality is good, although we would have liked the rear to have been a little straighter out of the box. All in all though, these are a wonderful balance of weight and strength.
