Our review
Light and tough all round wheels with superb weatherproofing and versatility

Our favourite of the current crop of all-mountain wheels. The DT rims are light and tough as long as you watch the lips on sharp edges, while the hubs themselves are well sealed, friendly to work on and easily switchable to any axle standard you could, er, Hope for.

This wheels are handbuilt by Hope themselves to bundle their super versatile Pro II hubs and top DT all-mountain rims at the best possible price. The rims are impressively stiff and strong for their low weight, with 28mm width for good tyre support.

Thirty-two DT Comp spokes have kept our test wheels tight despite a thorough beating, although the slighty soft sidewalls are vulnerable to rock damage if you smack them really hard.

The Pro II hubs are superbly sealed and completely user-serviceable right through to the rowdy freehub. They add serious versatility too, with the front switching easily from QR to 20mm or vice versa (adaptors are £15).

The rear hub can switch easily from QR to 10 or 12mm bolt-through too.

Different colours and 150mm rear versions are only available in separate hubsets.
