Sun Ringle’s Charger Pro wheels are light, lively and tubeless-ready, but unfortunately short-lived. Sun make Stan’s No Tubes Rims anyway and now they’ve licensed their tubeless-ready Bead Seat Technology design for their own wheels. Add 24, tight-laced double- butted Wheelsmith spokes front and rear and the result is a lightweight and stiff-feeling trail wheelset.
Our last set proved that they can take a hammering, and converting them to tubeless-ready running with rim strip and sealant is easy. They’re compatible with axle standards too. Sadly we’ve never had much luck with the bearings on freehubs on Ringlé hubs – all our test sets died of various causes after a few months.
