The Charger front wheel has a 15/20mm convertible front axle, or for £30 less you can opt for the quick-release axle version. With all-mountain style and strength, without the weight, Sun use Stan’s NoTubes rim technology with shaped rim tapes fitted for tubeless-ready tyres.

Tough 28mm rims allow for big tyres and plenty of abuse. The large flange hubs plus 28 Wheelsmith spokes help keep the build strong. Wheel and freehub bearings on the last (26in) set we had wore quickly: after two months’ regular use these are still good but we have doubts about long-term durability.
