Our review
Tough and impressively tight feeling wheels, but slightly heavy

Syncros are still establishing themselves in Europe, but these wheels have a great reputation in hardcore areas such as Whistler in Canada.

The 32mm-wide pinned and sleeved rims won’t support super-wide tyres, but 2.5ins are okay. The underlying stiffness increases the sure-footed feel and the bead lock rim also means less chance of throwing a blown tyre. The 32 DT Swiss spokes at each end are hand-laced for a consistent build quality.

The big white hubs contribute to high overall weight, but they keep tracking levels very impressive. We’ve had no issues with the Quad Bearing System FR hubs and the steel freehub body will handle the most powerful pedallers. We are pleased to add that the FR/DH wheelset is now available in 135mm spacing aswell as the original 150mm option.
