Great value, good looking lid that works a treat

Giro’s revamped Phase is aimed at the serious rider on a budget and delivers well in all the key areas.

The level of protection is up to scratch and conforms to all the latest standards. Its total weight is just 316g, thanks to the In-Mould construction, which fuses the outer-shell and liner during moulding.

The venting is good too, with 27 Wind Tunnel vents to keep you cool while also getting rid of head fumes, and fit is nice and snug. This is down to the inclusion of Giro’s Acu-Dial 2, which means adjustment comes courtesy of a simple click-wheel at the rear.

Out on the trail, the Phase performs extremely well. Its low-profile design and light weight makes it unobtrusive, while the Acu-Dial keeps it exactly where you want it. If you do take a tumble, the peak is easily detachable so it won’t shatter or damage the rest of the lid.
