The Cratoni C-Flash’s in-mould construction helps keep the helmet light, while 19 air vents do a good job of keeping your head cool on hot days. The three main front vents also contain insect protective mesh, although we haven’t found any flies stuck in them yet.

Although not adjustable, the visor is high enough to be out of the way, while the retention system, although a little fiddly, works well. Being a light, airy helmet does point it more towards the cross-country crowd.

The ratchet type buckle with chin pad unfortunately gives the feel of a cheaper lid, but is easy to use.
