Our review
A good cross-over option between trail and gravity lids, though some changes needed

Combining pisspot inspired extended rear coverage with low weight and a stab at usable venting, the 302g Endur-O-Matic attempts to bridge the gap between trail and gravity.

Does it work? Surprisingly well, actually. The venting is minimal by cross-country standards (you get eight) but large, wicking pads mop up sweat and the overall effect isn’t as steamy as you might expect – except possibly on extended climbs.

The large visor isn’t adjustable but does a decent job of keeping rain and sun out of your eyes, though we can’t understand why Urge have added a large hole in the middle of it for 2012.

The flat rear is a good place to park goggles – useful for gravity enduros – and the straps are simple to adjust, although we’d prefer lockable junction buckles.
