The Foray helmet from Giro packs a good punch when it comes to head protection out on the road.

This 21-vent helmet boasts sleek high-end looks not dissimilar to Giro’s range topping Synthe.

The RocLoc 5 twist retention system, which is also found on the Synthe, makes fitting and adjustment easy, even when riding with gloves on. As for the side straps these are fully adjustable but not as soft feeling as some.

The vents and internal channelling are well positioned to keep you cool, while the internal pads offer a comfy ride and are easily removed to wash when dirty.

This is a quality road-specific lid that performs well and has good looks to boot. It is a little heavier than some of its close competitors but this isn’t really noticeable when you’re riding.

The Foray is available in a rainbow of colour options and a MIPS version is available for £20/$20 more.
