It’s hard not to notice that the Blade takes its styling and many design features from Lazer’s range-topping Z1. It uses the same ARS (Advanced Rollsys System) with an adjuster barrel on the top of the helmet. It feels odd at first but is easy to use on the fly, as well as one-handed, and it soon becomes second nature.
Height is adjustable, but this can only be done off the head. The side straps are also adjustable and don’t have locking cams, but we never had any issues here as they remained in place during testing.
The shell features 22 large vents, so there is never an issue with overheating
The Blade’s Z1-style shell features 22 large vents with good internal channelling, so there is never an issue with overheating, either.
An optional shell cover is available to increase aerodynamics or for wet days, but this does add weight.
Overall, this is a classy yet functional lightweight road lid offering superb value, with prices starting around £30 on Amazon.
