Good idea and well made, but a bit stiff and a bit warm

Leatt's Adventure back protector has been designed to work alongside their well established neck braces. It’s fully functional without a brace, but the upper portion of the back plate can be removed by undoing two screws.

This provides a cutaway for the back of the neck brace to sit inside comfortably, which means everything sits in exactly the right places when the two are worn together. The two shoulder straps are adjustable, and the kidney strap has helpful double straps to make sure the fit is snug and tight enough.

While riding, the back protector did feel a bit stiff when it came to really leaning over into turns, but otherwise generally felt fine. It was on the warm side too, although the foam lining did help to wick moisture away. As with all things Leatt, we were impressed with the overall finish and quality.
