Excellent protection even in coastal areas

Greases have become increasingly durable over the years, offering better protection and longer times between servicing. From the manufacturer of ACF50, Corrosion Block promises excellent protection even in coastal areas and claims no adverse reaction with other/existing greases.

For such a stiff lube, it flows very smoothly from the tube and the small nozzle allows for precise, mess-free application, making it particularly suited to bearing races in headsets, hubs, bottom brackets and forgotten areas like the threaded hanger bolt on rear mechs (although the larger 16oz tub would make for easier coverage on larger areas such as seatposts and handlebar stems). Applied liberally, it has shrugged at continuous riding in wet, muddy conditions and regular washes so should be particularly suited to machines in hard, daily service - especially those whose riders fight shy of fitting mudguards. To test the claim that it will not react with other greases, I have smeared some to the threads of clamp bolts treated with another brand to see if anything nasty happens over the coming months. We'll let you know.
