One of our favourite chain lubes is Purple Extreme, and now from the same company comes an accompanying degreaser. The idea behind Golden Degreaser is to deliver paraffin-strength degreasing but in a biodegradable liquid.
The 8oz bottle is small by degreasing standards but will easily see you through 16 drivetrain cleans. It's thicker than most and not the sort of degreaser you splash around. In fact, it's recommended you take your time and use a toothbrush to apply the stuff.
Once on, it takes seconds to work, after which a wash off and thorough rinsing leaves the drivetrain sparkling. It certainly rewards the patient and fastidious cleaners who'll love it's strength.
