When applying this lubricant, we found it didn’t create much excess that we had to wipe off. It sticks to the chain really well almost creating a film over the links, and made sure it stayed lubricated through just about any riding conditions, effectively shedding most mud and grime.
It’s a pain to apply to the chain though, even when following the instructions on the bottle. The thin film still attracted some grit, and it needs regular reapplication. £8.99 for 100ml is pretty expensive too.
