You get what you pay for, but it's a good starter track pump

Not an expensive track pump, but a mostly well made one; the Maxtrax has no problem with high pressure pumping. The all-steel body feels solid but the plastic plunger is a concern - it can catch at the top of the stroke and wouldn't be hard for a clumsy cyclist to break.

You get an accurate gauge and a release valve, and the hose is adequate if not generous. A very decent budget pump, it's a really good option if you're starting out in bike fettling. If you want a workhorse, it's worth spending an extra £10 for better quality.
