Our review
Reliable, lastforever, fuss-free mini pump

The latest incarnation of this long lived pump from Blackburn has a large diameter aluminium barrel and handy non-slip grippy inserts on the head and handle, that are ideal when you're fixing a puncture or pumping up a new tube as the rain pours down your back mid-monsoon ride.

Pop the dust-cover, push the head on the valve, flip the chunky thumblock lever (internal fiddling required to swap between valve types), fold-out the large T-handle, marvel at the coloured shaft, and simply pump away.

Free of any gimmicks, the Mammoth just gets on with the job of pumping up tyres pretty darn well (see its '100 strokes' test results above) and with a solid feel. You get a bottle-cage mounting bracket with Velcro securing strap, and a good aftermarket of spares too should you ever need them. That's it, no gimmicks or fluff to get excited about.
