Crank Brothers are known for their attention to product design detail and the Power Pro certainly has a high cute factor. It’s small enough to fit into the front pocket of a jacket and has the feel of quality construction.
We liked the features very much – from the knurled grip pattern on the handle to the double-sided valve attachment, which locks with a twist and was smooth and simple to use.
There’s even a tiny gauge which, given its size, is surprisingly easy to read and you can switch between high volume and high pressure with the twist of the end cap.
However all that pocket-sized portability does come with an efficiency price and this took a long time to get our tyres fully inflated. But let’s be honest, you won’t be carrying the Power Pro if you’re bothered about increments of inflation time – it’ll be all about travelling light. And it’s perfect for that.
