Lifeline Aluminium mini pump review

These days it's hard to believe how we all managed without convenience items like mini pumps. This one is made from extruded aluminium that is resistant to casual damage, such as treading on it, and it looks conspicuous compared to some of the fat-bodied pumps that are available.

Looks good (for now) but too small and awkward both to hold and to use

>The head accepts Presta valves and can be swapped over in seconds to make it compatible with car-type Schrader valves, a cap protects the pump chuck from debris. The pump chamber is very efficient, initially supplying a dense charge of air that quickly inflates the tyre to shape, but difficulties arise at the upper reaches of a high pressure road tyre; it's difficult to hold the pump - the end is far too small and awkwardly shaped to get a proper grip with the hand that isn't pumping. We also think road salt will spoil the pump's cosmetic appeal. My advice would be to avoid it. >
