Our review
The pump’s clever design is matched by excellent performance. A little pricey, though

Most companies’ track pumps come in a handful of sizes to cope with different frames. But Park Tools’ designers have come up with a neat creation to allow its PMP-5 pump to fit virtually all bikes from 17-22in. This is achieved using a series of nine notches in alternate sides of the handle.

The large flip-out handle provides excellent grip, though the plastic material is hard and not that comfortable – you’re best off using gloves. The pump’s clever design is matched by excellent performance. There’s a high quality valve head, a reassuringly chunky metal locking lever and the sort of build quality you’d expect from Park. It’s a good pump but it does cost a little more than the best of its peers.
