Neat solution, aside from niggling air loss when disconnecting

At a glance this alloy shock pump looks more like a mini pump because the telltale round gauge is missing. Look more closely though and you’ll see it’s been replaced by a compact digital display.

Powered by a single CR2032 button battery, the LCD shows pressures in psi, bar and kg/cm2 and is claimed to be accurate to 1psi. There’s a button to bleed air out for accurate setup, and an auto-power-off function to conserve battery power.

The rubber hose is mounted to the body of the pump via a 360-degree pivoting head and has a sturdy valve chuck. The pump action is smooth, and the pressure rating is accurate when tested against other digital pumps, though there is minor air loss when disconnecting the pump – around 3psi – which needs to be factored in when inflating. We’d love to see this pump with a lossless chuck for a truly accurate reading.
