A simple verdict – brilliant and cheap. Get one!

It’s not often that a product comes our way that’s both a really great piece of kit and outstanding value for money at the same time. This workshop bike hanger is one of those items.

The aluminium frame and burly resin clamp are pretty standard for a basic stand, but it’s the design and detail that set this apart from supposedly better and certainly more expensive models.

When folded away, the hanger’s compact dimensions means it can be hidden in a corner, and its light weight of 4.4kg makes it easily transportable. Unfolding is easy and quick – we could do it in 12 seconds!

Three quick-release clamps keep a solid hold of the upright stand and rubber feet stop it slipping or marking. The rubber jaws in the resin head keep a very firm grip of your bike and the simple clamp is an ergonomic, one-handed affair.

Cleverly, the main support tube is keyed, which stops the stand rotating when you’re leaning on a stubborn bolt. The head rotates 360 degrees by way of a locking, toothed, swivel plate, which can also be done one-handed.

The fully coated aluminium and resin construction also means the thing won’t rust over and seize up if you use it outside for bike washing, either. Superb.
