MET’s top-end road lid, the Stradivarius UL, shares many features with the £25 cheaper Inferno UL: it has the same retention system, Kevlar straps and Coolmax pads.
Internally the main difference is the soft gel-like brow pad that runs around the forehead. After initial reservations this turned out to be both comfortable and effective in keeping the helmet firmly in place, even when cycling hard.
Consequently, it’s easier than the Inferno to find a good fit. The large vents around the front of the helmet allow air to flow easily over the top of your head, stopping things getting too stuffy.
