Our review
A great balance of comfort on and off the bike – if you're okay with the looks

The M121Ws are aimed more at mountain bikers, so you get a chunky, deep tread pattern that works a treat off-road. The sole is stiff and efficient enough, though less so than other Mtb competition shoes.

This means they're still comfortable to walk in and the tacky rubber sole gives great cleat clearance and grip for city use, though the bikey look means youll stand out more. They're also lighter and meshier for better breathability and have quicker drying times than many leisure shoes. Like other Shimano pairs we've tested this year, these are well shaped and seem to contour perfectly to the natural position of the foot. Three simple Velcro closures spread the pressure out evenly and keep hold securely - heels stay in place and toes get some wiggle-room too. >
