There are lots of articulated pads around but these are about the best we've tried. They're great to pedal in, with no chafe as long as they're kept clean and dry. Quick release straps making fitting easy, they're well ventilated and the soft tail goes right to your ankles for 'rock off your front wheel' protection. They are very bulky though and the rivets for the plastic plates come right through to rest against your leg, which could be nasty in a big stack. Plenty tough otherwise and well priced.
