Uvex X-Ride helmet review

The strap buckle on the X-Ride takes the form of a large ratchet, allowing the length of the straps to be adjusted quickly and easily.

However, we think this is a solution to a problem that doesn’t really exist and one that just leaves you with a bulky buckle.

Internally the pads are thick, generally improving comfort, except around the back of the head where the pad covering the retention system has a tendency to dig in.

The detachable peak is a little too large for anything other than an upright riding position. It’s pretty airy though, with the 24 vents doing a good cooling job.
