At this year's Eurobike, Shimano had a massive stand that dwarfed its neighbours and featured loads of exciting new bike tech. We sent our man Joe over to speak to them and rustle up some highlights.

"It's been an absolutely massive year for us," says Shimano's Ben Hillsdon, telling us about the new Dura-Ace 9100 groupset, unveiled earlier this year. Highlights include an integrated power meter, hydraulic disc braking and synchro shifting, along with design tweaks like thicker crank arms for greater power transfer.

Beyond shifting, Shimano has also thought about aerodynamics within the new Dura-Ace range — meet the PRO Vibe carbon and alloy handlebars, which feature internal cable routing. This gives a cleaner and more slippery look, and also enables the Di2 junction box to be located inside the end of the handlebar.

Finally, Shimano also introduced its new PRO Stealth saddle, developed in conjunction with pro team Giant-Alpecin. It's a mix of TT and road saddles, and gets a wide nose for sitting on the end of it in an aero tuck position. It comes with a carbon base, and carbon or stainless steel rails. The lightest version is 172g.
