Listening to the market is important, and Italian company Wilier has made a number of updates and design tweaks to several of its road and mountain bike ranges for 2016.

As we reported in July, the GTR road bike range is growing. The all-rounder GTR SL gets a more aerodynamic frame, plus 27.2mm seatpost to increase compliance. Among the fresh rides for 2016 is the GTR Team Disc, a disc brake model featuring the new flat mount standard, and wheel clearance that will accommodate 25mm, 28mm and some 30mm rubber.

Wilier's 101X hardtail mountain bike is now constructed from carbon of a similar quality to the company's top-of-the-range road bikes, making it lightweight and race ready. Add to this slacker angles at the front and a more compliant rear, and the claimed result is a bike that strikes an ideal balance between speed and comfort.
