To celebrate the start of this year’s Tour of Britain, For Goodness Shakes! have released a limited edition cherry version of their recovery milkshake.

Available from Wiggle or direct from the FGS! website, it comes in 12-sachet packs (£19.99) and as part of a Race Recovery Kit (£10) made up of three sachets and a 750ml water bottle.

After receiving some samples this morning, we wasted no time in gulping one down. It was palatable stuff – the taste of cherry Bakewells immediately sprang to mind. The cherry shake uses FGS!'s new Procovery formula – a tweaked version of their old NutriMix powder, with the same 3:1 carbohydrate/protein mix. Each sachet, diluted with 750ml of water, delivers 265.8 kcal, 49.8g carbs and 16.6g protein.
