Urban Fruit snack bags – Just in

Dried fruit pieces for a healthy treat

Christmas indulgence has meant many of us have entered 2013 a little heavier than planned, so the arrival of a box of dried fruit snacks at BikeRadar towers was most welcome. The package came from London-based company Urban Fruit. The box also contained a bowler hat, which is something the brand feature on their fun, cartoon-like packaging.

All of Urban Fruit's produce is picked at peak ripeness and then baked slowly at low temperatures in order to retain taste and ensure the produce lasts an age compared to fresh fruit.

All items are 100 percent fruit, with no added sugars or preservatives, and the range includes a wide variety of tastes, with mango, strawberry, pineapple, cherries, raspberry, pear and apricots all included. Two mixed fruit choices are also available – apple and pear and 'superberry', the latter comprising golden berries, cranberries and red grapes.

We're currently working our way through our sample bags and have been impressed with the tastes. Some of the fruits don't look particularly appetising once removed from the packaging, but this is often the case with natural products.

If you're looking for a healthy snack option to support your riding, Urban Fruit packs are available in 90g or 100g sizes depending on the fruit, and cost £1.97 (or two for £3) from Tesco. For more information, see www.urbanfruit.co.uk.
