An all-Italian win for the £2,750+ price bracket

Bianchi’s Specialissima has been awarded the superbike category winner from our sister magazine Cycling Plus' 2016 Bike of the Year awards.

Pitched against various other machines priced at £2,750 or more, the Specialissima took the win thanks to the fantastic ride quality it offers when both climbing and descending.

The Bianchi's luxurious all-Italian spec sheet pairs top end parts from the likes of Campagnolo and Vittoria with an exceptional, sub-800g frame. Another thing that really impressed testers was the Bianchi's flawless finish - its stunning paintwork and hand-masked decals truly have to be seen to be fully appreciated.

In the words of lead tester Warren Rossiter: ‘This bike is as good as any superbike we’ve ridden before, and it really does set the standard for super light bikes for years to come’.

For Bike of the Year's 2016 Superbike, the Bianchi Specialissima was up against Focus Izalco Max Disc and the Cannondale SuperSix EVO Hi-Mod Dura-Ace.
